GM's "old-look" bus was a familiar sight in many American cities from the 40s onward. Designed especially for city and suburban routes, they came in many sizes with a variety of engine and transmission options, identified by an alphanumeric code.
This model is based on the TD 3610, built from 1946-48. Measuring 30' long, "T" indicated a transit bus for city and suburban routes, engines were "D" for diesel or "G" for gasoline, transmissions were "M" (manual) or "H" (hydraulic/automatic), 36 indicated seating capacity and 10 was the model number.
